The Republican working group was presented with planned work on creating a "Law and Order Center" in the "Koshtamgali" mahalla of the Samarkand district, implementing the "Safe Bus Stop" model, and initiating a program to prevent youth crime. In order to clarify the implementation of the issues of transforming territories into safe places, the mahalla seven, the heads of district sectors, and representatives of relevant organizations were consulted.

It is planned to install panic buttons and video surveillance cameras at the entrances of 220 apartment buildings within the district in order to ensure the implementation of the decision. Additionally, 29 retail outlets and 220 apartments in the district will be under National Guard protection, and 30 apartment buildings will have intercoms installed at their entrances.

Working group members gained an understanding of the activities of the newly launched "Law and Order Center" in the "Boghisaroy" mahalla of Samarkand, which serves five mahallas. The conditions created in the mahalla sevens, the internal affairs and prosecutor's offices, as well as the National Guard personnel at the center, were analyzed.

During the event, a new system of work on social prevention was presented on the example of the "Boghisaroy" mahalla based on the "Principle of a Prosperous and Safe Mahalla".

The mahalla sevens, sector heads and officials were given relevant instructions to curb the crime situation, prevent crimes, stabilize the crime situation in 26 "red" category mahallas in the city, determine the scope of work to be carried out during the 1st quarter, install 930 video surveillance cameras at the entrances and exits of mahallas, as well as in crowded places and streets, 30 face and license plate recognition cameras in 100 shopping centers and markets, organize "Model Safe Streets" and "Model Safe Walkways" and monitor the situation.

The Republican working group is analysing the situation in crime prevention with mahalla sevens in the region and identifying specific targeted measures in order to improve crime prevention.
