As part of the meeting, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Major General B. Yu Mirzarakhimov addressed the work carried out in the region to prevent crimes and offence, mistakes and shortcomings, and future priorities. The meeting was attended by A.D. Tasbayev, head of the Regional Internal Affairs Department, deputy heads of departments, sector heads and city-district internal affairs departments.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Regional Internal Affairs Department spoke and introduced the issues on the agenda. Then, the issues of early prevention of crimes and offence in the region, areas with a problematic criminogenic situation, factors that allowed for delays in curbing crime and created conditions for crime growth, and the activities of internal affairs departments and sectoral services in this regard were analyzed.

In light of the fact that crimes, offence and traffic accidents have increased slightly in Navoi and Zarafshan cities and Karmana district was explicitly discussed. Additionally, the insufficient preventive work implemented to prevent these situations was discussed in detail.

A number of leaders and employees were also criticized for their actions. The necessary measures have been identified, and instructions were given to prevent, curb, and expose future crimes and ensure public safety and tranquility.
