As previously reported, on January 14-16, 2025, at the invitation of Ali Hassan al-Kubaisi, head of the Department for Combating Economic and Cybercrime of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar, to the Uzbek Minister of Internal Affairs, senior officials of the Cybersecurity Center of the Crime Detection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are paying a working visit to Doha.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Economic and Cybercrime and at the same time the Head of the Regional Center for Combating Cybercrime of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Doha, Qassim Yusuf Al-Kuwari, at the invitation of the Qatari side, with the participation of a responsible official of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Qatar.

As part of the meeting, they became familiar with the activities of the international center. The Center has provided information regarding its efforts to train police officers from Arab Gulf, African and Asian countries to fight cybercrime, with the involvement of international experts.

The head of the Center expressed his readiness to provide close assistance to Uzbek representatives in training courses. They would also provide information about the courses planned for 2025 and hold joint events.

During the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Qatar, many fruitful negotiations were held on combating cybercrime.
