On January 14-16, 2025, according to the invitation of Ali Hassan al-Kubaisi, head of the Department for Combating Economic and Cybercrime of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar, to the Uzbek Minister of Internal Affairs, P. Bobojonov, senior officials of the Cybersecurity Center of the Crime Detection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are visiting Doha as part of a working visit.

The main purpose of the visit is to jointly combat cybercrime, establish an exchange of information and experience, examine the possibility of establishing bilateral training courses for the training, retraining and advanced training of qualified specialists, and prepare and sign a draft bilateral agreement in this glance.

During the visit, the Head of the Department, Ali Kubaisi, welcomed the delegation members and noted the readiness of the State of Qatar to establish mutual cooperation in combating cybercrime and the necessity to strengthen ties in the future.

The meeting provided information regarding the activities, tasks, functions, software and databases used, as well as the working methods of the structural units of the Department of Combating Economic and Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Qatar.

In order to organically continue cooperation, the delegation invited officials of the Department of Combating Economic and Cybercrime to Uzbekistan for subsequent meetings.

During the visit, views were exchanged on new types of cybercrime being committed.
