The national contest "Woman of the Year" was announced to support women who greatly contribute to our country's socioeconomic development and are excellent role models for their families and children.

The contest is intended for women over 35 who are actively involved in increasing the prestige of their organization and for housewives.

The regional stage of this contest was also held in Navoi. Ten nominations determined the winners. Lieutenant Colonel Gulbahor Usarova, Deputy Head of the Department of Women's Affairs of the DIA of Navoi region, won the nomination "The Most Patriotic Woman of the Year."

Also, in the national competition "Gender Equality Activist", held to ensure equal rights and legitimate interests of women and men, the Deputy Head of the DIA on Spiritual and Enlightenment Affairs and Human Resource for Women's Affairs, Major Sarvinoz Dushanova, participated on behalf of the DIA of Navoi region and was recognized as worthy of an honourable 2nd place in the nomination "The most active territorial state organization in ensuring gender equality."
