In recent years, special attention has been paid to developing a reading culture and promoting reading widely in our country.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is also working to increase the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work and promote reading among employees.
All the Ministry's libraries have been enriched with newly published literature, including excellent examples of national and world literature.
Competitions held among employees and military personnel in structural and territorial internal affairs bodies, military units, the Ministry's Academy, and Academic Lyceums, as well as knowledge competitions with trainees and students, are also significant in that they aim at the same goal.
Weekly "Spiritual and Enlightenment" classes increase employees' political, legal, spiritual, and educational knowledge.
The general public also appreciated the positive initiative of installing a statue of a “Literary Family of an Internal Affairs Officer” in the square near the Ministry of Internal Affairs building.
The above points were emphasized at the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the “Most Exemplary Ministry and Department” and “Most Exemplary District and City” competitions organized by the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment yesterday.
It is gratifying that the Ministry of Internal Affairs was recognized as a leader in ensuring public peace and security, preserving spiritual values, and promoting reading widely.
According to the results of the annual prestigious competition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs team was recognized as the winner of the “Most Active Book Reader Ministry” nomination in the “Most Exemplary Ministry and Department” competition. The team was awarded a collection of books worth 10 million UZS.
The assessment of the work carried out in the spiritual and educational sphere in this system is an admirable indication that there are sufficient reading skills among employees.
Cultural and educational elites gathered for the evening and congratulated the competition winners, who were involved in all aspects of public life.
