In Uzbekistan, law enforcement agencies are improving their skills in combating human trafficking

In cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia, the next stage of a series of four seminars for law enforcement officers of the Republic of Uzbekistan: "Applying the Fundamentals of Criminal Prosecution and Prosecution of Human Trafficking, Global and Regional Trends" was organized in Tashkent.
The event was attended by leaders and employees responsible for combating human trafficking in Tashkent city, Tashkent, Sirdarya and Jizzakh regions.
At the event, held in Fergana on November 18-19, 2024, specialists were introduced to international norms and the experience of developed countries in combating human trafficking.
In addition, the importance of international cooperation was discussed in terms of developing international cooperation and conducting financial investigations.
During the inspection of documents in their possession, the participants discussed the many useful insights they gained through cooperation with the International Police Organization (INTERPOL) and the Republican Social Information Center "Istikbolli-Avlod". They also discussed the importance of developing this partnership.
A number of national and international experts were invited to present the latest developments in the field, including prevention of human trafficking, aid to victims of trafficking, ensuring the principle of accountability for crimes, and developing cooperation in specific areas.
It is anticipated that a number of topics will be discussed at the training, resulting in further positive results in the field due to its implementation.
