Astana hosted the World Senior Sambo Championship. Medals were awarded to approximately 500 athletes from more than 80 countries.

Senior Sergeant Ziyod Hakimbayev, an officer of the Main Department of Tashkent Region, who competed in the +98 kg weight category, won a bronze medal (in combat sambo).

According to the championship results, the Uzbek national team won 2 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.

The Main Department of Tashkent Region congratulates all athletes and coaches on their successful participation.
