Professors and teachers of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, cadets and students, and representatives of the general public took part in the event held at the place where the statue of our ancestor stands.

The speakers discussed the life and work of Mirzo Ulugbek, a great figure of the Timurid era, encyclopedist and statesman, his exemplary deeds, his invaluable contribution to the development of world science, as well as the rich scientific and educational heritage left by our great ancestor.

It was recognized that with the efforts of Mirzo Ulugbek, Samarkand became the centre of science of its time. Many buildings were built under the patronage of our grandfather, and the work "Ziji Jadidi Koragoniy" is still being studied with significant interest by world scientists.

At the spiritual and educational event, young people showed interest in learning about the personality of our ancestor and his rich heritage through their performances.
