On October 7, the head of the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Berdialiev Bakhtiyor Erkinovich, and the officials of the institute met with Ali Riza Tezjan, the head of the representative office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TICA) in Uzbekistan, and Albina Tuzlu, the deputy head of the agency.
The meeting began with intense negotiations between the two parties. During the meeting, information was provided regarding the projects and scientific research of the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the area of criminology.
During the meeting, both parties agreed on a number of issues related to the establishment and development of scientific cooperation.
A brief presentation of educational programs in the field of law enforcement in Turkey was followed by information regarding the employees' participation in the program of combating cybercrime, along with the implementation of practical training-based programs.
A proposal to establish a Turkish criminology research office at the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan alongside Korean and German criminology research offices was also approved.
In light of the issues discussed during the meeting, a memorandum of understanding has been agreed to be signed to advance future cooperation.
The head of the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Berdialiev Bakhtiyor Erkinovich, and the head of the representative office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TICA) in Uzbekistan, Ali Riza Tezjan, have agreed to participate in the first international forum organized by the Institute on October 29-30 this year.
