On September 6, an official delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov participated in the first meeting of Ministers of Internal Affairs of member states of the Organization of Turkic States in Chulpon-Ota, Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was attended by the Ministers of Internal Affairs of our country, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as well as delegations of specialists led by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanichbek Omuraliev.
According to the parties, the event in this format, based on historical relationships, common language, culture and traditions of the people of participating countries, will provide a significant opportunity for a spiritual rapprochement of the Turkic peoples, strengthening of fraternal unity, and development of comprehensive cooperation.
During the event, the participants discussed the issues of combating crime, including extremism, human trafficking, cybercrime, illegal drug trafficking, and illegal migration in countries within the framework of the organization. They determined the prospects of cooperation between relevant units of the ministries of internal affairs in these directions.
At the friendly and constructive meeting, the parties signed a Declaration of the First Meeting of the Interior Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States, emphasizing the importance of these meetings for strengthening cooperation between the agencies.
