On June 4-10, in cooperation with the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Central Asian Volleyball Championship - 2024 among teenage boys and girls under 18 years of age was scheduled to be held at the sports and health complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "JAR" in Tashkent.
A magnificent sports palace hosted the opening ceremony of this prestigious competition. Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Volleyball Federation of Uzbekistan, Pulat Bobojonov, opened the event. A special emphasis was placed on the fact that sports are given a lot of attention in our country today, especially the popularity of volleyball, a team sport, and the organization of regular competitions among young people, which are important factors in filling the ranks of the national team.
Adham Ikromov, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Muhammad Latiflar, President of CAVA, also addressed the audience at the event.
It is important to note that teams from six Central Asian countries are participating in the championship. It includes Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and the host country, Uzbekistan. JAR sports complex will host competitions for a period of 7 days.
