Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On May 28, in Tashkent, the "Panarams" hotel hosted an event organized by the Winrock International Uzbekistan branch of the International Agricultural Development Institute in collaboration with the National Commission for Combating Human Trafficking. They held an international online and offline roundtable in connection with the completion of the "Safe Migration in Central Asia" (SMICA) project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Uzbekistan.

The main goal of the event was to discuss the significant results of the project among national partners, state bodies, non-governmental non-profit organizations and international organizations, highlighting the positive impact of their collective work.

The chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan R.Alimov, the official of the National Commission for Combating Human Trafficking and Decent Labor Issues G.Niyazmetova, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) the head of the mission in Uzbekistan David Hoffman, the program consultant of "Winrock International" Olga DiPretoro, the responsible secretary of the MIA - the sub-commission on combating human trafficking F. Talipov, and representatives of responsible employees, responsible organizations, and public funds participated in the event.

David Hoffman, head of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) mission in Uzbekistan, opened the event with an introductory speech, emphasizing the collective effort and expressing deep gratitude to all participants and selfless individuals who contributed to the success of this project.

Following that, Ravshan Alimov, Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Furkat Talipov, Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, made a speech.
