The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued an order on November 29, 2019, "On additional measures to regulate the activities of the press services of the internal affairs bodies" that stipulates that employees of the internal affairs bodies will undergo systematic training in information services. Special seminar trainings were conducted for the heads and employees of the information services of our republic's internal affairs bodies in order to ensure proper implementation.
The event was attended by Major General Ghairat Kadirov, the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Jizzakh region, Colonel Shahrukh Giyasov, the Minister's press secretary, Lieutenant Colonel Khurshid Ruziev, the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and a group of professors and teachers of the Academy of the Ministry.
During the seminar, a wide range of practical topics were covered, including conducting and monitoring analytical activities within the information service, maintaining social network pages in a high-quality manner, dealing with negative information, preparing media products, and working with complex video and photo elements. These discussions and trainings were aimed at equipping the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the challenges of the digital age.
In addition, the event participants took part in trainings focusing on eliminating conflict situations in the information space, maintaining good relations with the public and mass media, cooperating mutually, and creating media content that would improve the image of internal affairs agencies.
During the session, it was emphasized that providing prompt, impartial, and accurate information is crucial for information service employees in today's globalization era.
In the sessions, employees of the information services of internal affairs bodies had the opportunity to learn about the reforms in legislation regarding openness for the public, mass media, and state bodies and important legal updates relating to their work.
Following the two-day seminar training, leaders and employees of the information service servicing the regions were invited to provide suggestions and opinions. A plan was developed to ensure that important tasks were implemented. Certificates were awarded to all participants at the end of the event.
