The Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 6, 2026, No. PF-17 “On Priority Measures for the Development of Local Production and Industrial Cooperation Based on a New System.”

The main objectives and areas of activity of the Agency are as follows:

• to introduce a unified management system in the field of industrial cooperation and public procurement, ensuring the implementation of a coherent and coordinated state policy;
• to create value chains aimed at the production of high-tech and competitive products, as well as to identify promising products for localization and development;
• to reduce the dependence of economic sectors on external factors by localizing the production of components, raw materials, and supplies by sectoral enterprises;
• to widely involve small and medium-sized enterprises in the production chains of large enterprises;
• to reduce production costs through the expansion of local manufacturing;
• to ensure the integration of local production into global supply chains;
• to implement innovative solutions that facilitate technological modernization of production capacities and the adoption of international quality standards;
• to organize systematic work on training, retraining, and upgrading the qualifications of personnel in the field of industrial cooperation, as well as expanding local production across economic sectors.
