About the Agency
The Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 6, 2026, No. PF-17 “On Priority Measures for the Development of Local Production and Industrial Cooperation Based on a New System.”
The main objectives and areas of activity of the Agency are as follows:
- to introduce a unified management system in the field of industrial cooperation and public procurement, ensuring the implementation of a coherent and coordinated state policy;
- to create value chains aimed at the production of high-tech and competitive products, as well as to identify promising products for localization and development;
- to reduce the dependence of economic sectors on external factors by localizing the production of components, raw materials, and supplies by sectoral enterprises;
- to widely involve small and medium-sized enterprises in the production chains of large enterprises;
- to reduce production costs through the expansion of local manufacturing;
- to ensure the integration of local production into global supply chains;
- to implement innovative solutions that facilitate technological modernization of production capacities and the adoption of international quality standards;
- to organize systematic work on training, retraining, and upgrading the qualifications of personnel in the field of industrial cooperation, as well as expanding local production across economic sectors.
