Within the framework of this scholarship program for studying at Hungarian universities from the 2025/2026 academic year, the Government of Hungary provides educational grants in the amount of up to 170 places for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Grants are allocated for study at the following levels of education:
• Bachelor's degree;
• Bachelor's degree combined with a master's degree. That is, documents are submitted for study in a bachelor's degree, which simultaneously includes a master's degree (OTM - One tire master), the duration of study is 5 or 6 years, depending on the field of education (mainly medical areas);
• Master's degree;
• Doctoral degree (PhD);
• Short-term courses.
Quotas (number grant places) in terms of education levels is established based on the needs of the republic's economy for personnel, as well as taking into account the number and quality of applications from applicants.
Coordinator (“Sending Partner”) from the Uzbek side is the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

With regard to paragraph 3.4.2 of the “Call for Applications” of the Hungarian side, we provide an explanation that it is not required to submit documents to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MinHE) - either online or in paper form.
It is enough to send all documents in online format directly to the online platform specified by the Hungarian organization “Tempus Public Foundation” (coordinator of this scholarship program from the Hungarian side) - https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu/
At the initial stage, the documents will be carefully examined by the Hungarian side, which will remove from the list all documents that do not meet the requirements of the competition.
Short list – after consultations with the relevant universities, will be sent by the Hungarian side to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to rank candidates in order of priority from 1 to 170 (main list) and then from 170 to 340 (reserve).
The final decision on admission to study will be made by the Hungarian side, based on the decisions of the host Hungarian universities.
If necessary, the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan, the host Hungarian university or coordinators can invite the candidate for an online interview.
The order of candidates in the list will be determined strictly within the above quotas.
The order of placement in the list will be determined depending on the priorities of personnel training in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Preference will be given to those who apply for engineering and technical specialties, as well as medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry, geology, physics, information technology, artificial intelligence, energy, alternative energy sources, etc.
The length of service at the university and knowledge of foreign languages will be important. A privilege will be granted to those who completed one or another stage of study before January 15, 2025, and not to those who expect to complete the current level of education in 2025.
Those candidates who are interested in further continuing their professional career in the republic, especially in the system of higher, secondary specialized or vocational education, in research centers of the republic, etc. will be supported.
