The chairman of the "Ulugbek" foundation, Aqil Salimov, opened with an introduction, congratulated the young people who reached the republic stage and wished them to show their talent and potential in the final stage as well.
- 20,000 young people registered in last year's contest, and this year nearly 48,000 young men and women took part in the contest. This is a sign that this innovative, intellectual competition is becoming more popular among young people year by year, and its position is increasing more and more, - said Minister Kungirotboy Sharipov.
Then the rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent Olimjon Toychiyev made a speech and solemnly announced that 280 talented young people who reached the republic stage of the competition will be admitted to the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent without an exam, and the winners of the competition will be admitted to study from the 2nd year.
The competition aims to find talented young people between the ages of 16 and 25, including young men and women living in remote areas, unorganized youth, among the foster children of "Mercy Houses" and direct them to the fields they are interested in, their scientific and technical creativity and is held every year in order to encourage inventiveness, increase and support innovative activity.
47,514 (23,363 boys, 24,151 girls) young people registered to participate in the competition, 9,837 of them successfully passed the IQ tests and had the opportunity to participate in the first round of the competition they did.
The 1st stage of the competition was organized in 206 districts (cities) of our republic, in which a total of 9,796 people participated, and the 2nd stage was organized in 14 regions, in which a total of 1,003 talented young people presented their projects to the commission members.
In the second stage of the competition, participants were divided into 16-19 and 20-25 age categories, and a quota was allocated from the total number of winners for each age category. Quotas were determined based on the total number of participants in each age group.
According to the results of the second stage of the competition, 280 talented young people (87 in the age group of 16-19, 193 in the age group of 20-25, 261 students, 19 schoolchildren, 2 employed youth) became the participants of the republic stage.
The national stage of the competition lasts 4 days. Participants will be divided into 12 groups and fulfill the conditions of the competition.
The winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages will be awarded with a one-time cash prize and a diploma in the amount of 5, 10 and 20 times the base calculation amount, respectively. The winners of the republic stage will receive free education in targeted training courses organized by the "Ulugbek" foundation. Young people who have successfully completed their studies are attached to regional production organizations and business entities on a voluntary basis and are involved in "Youth Academy" projects.
