Protection zones of two nature reserves have been established

This measure is stipulated in Resolution No. 142 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated March 5, 2025.
According to the document, the protection zone of the Chatkal State Biosphere Reserve includes the territories of Pap Special Forestry Enterprise (766.53 ha) in Namangan region, Ahangaran State Forestry Enterprise (8,101.85 ha) in Tashkent region, and Burchmulla State Forestry Enterprise (23,991.51 ha) in Bostanlyk district, Tashkent region.
The protected area of the State Biosphere Reserve "Aktag-Tamdy" consists of the territories of Tamdy State Forestry (6200 ha) and the Committee of Veterinary and Livestock Development (22300 ha) in Tamdy district of Navoi region.
This resolution aims to prevent the negative impact of economic activities on the natural ecosystems of state reserves, preserve and restore rare and endangered plant and animal species, and maintain biological diversity.
