Taking into account proposals from the public, as well as international and domestic eco-activists, starting from May 1, 2025, the launch of new projects in the following sectors will be prohibited in Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers:
-Production of asbestos, cement, sludge, and slag
-Tanneries, poultry farms and leather processing factories
-Burning of any type of coal without high-efficiency dust and gas filtration systems
-Ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy plants, as well as glass factories that use or produce toxic impurities and hazardous chemicals

Furthermore, a complete ban on the use of mazut as an energy source will be introduced for thermal and power generation enterprises across all regions of the country, except in cases where mazut is used as an emergency fuel. In such cases, enterprises must notify the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change and obtain approval from the Cabinet of Ministers.
