A fine of more than 50 million soums has been imposed for illegal hunting

An operational group consisting of employees from the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Surkhandarya region, along with the regional department of the National Guard, conducted an inspection raid.

During the operation, illegal hunters were identified in the "Sholipoya" area of the "Ipak Yuli" mahalla (neighborhood) in the "Muzrabat" district, located in the border zone. Among them were H.R., a resident of "Ipak Yuli" mahalla in "Muzrabat" district; Sh.R., a resident of the A. Safarov agricultural village in "Shurchi" district; B.O., a resident of "Oxunboboev" agricultural village; A.B., a resident of "Alpomish" mahalla; as well as R.Kh., Ch.A. and M.A. residents of "Bunyodkor" mahalla. They were found hunting without the necessary permits, using hunting weapons.

As a result, the requirements of Articles 17, 23, and 27 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Hunting and Hunting Economy", as well as Articles 32 and 33 of the Law "On the Protection and Use of Wildlife", were severely violated.

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 90 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Administrative Responsibility", each offender was fined 20 BCV—7 million 500 thousand sums. The total amount of fines imposed reached 52 million 500 thousand sums.
