This is outlined in the draft Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy 'Uzbekistan-2030' in the "Year of Environmental Protection and "Green" Economy".
What to expect from the program?
— Based on public opinion, all healthcare and educational institutions will be provided with the necessary sanitary and hygienic products
— The technical condition of sanitary and hygienic facilities will improve
— In newly constructed facilities, sanitary and hygienic rooms will be located within the buildings — A program will be adopted to provide all types of public sanitary and hygienic facilities, including those in catering establishments, with sanitary and hygienic products
— By August 1, 2025, with the involvement of international experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations (UN), the "Improvement of Uzbekistan's Sanitary and Hygienic System 2025–2028" program will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval in all social institutions
— The country's sanitary-epidemiological situation and public health will improve
The "Clean Hands" program aims to enhance the technical condition of sanitary and hygienic facilities in healthcare and educational institutions.
The draft Decree has been submitted for public and expert discussion on the online platform of the national strategy "Uzbekistan-2030" until January 22, 2025.
