State environmental inspectors sustained injuries while on duty

State inspectors from the Yangiyul District Department of the Directorate for Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Tashkent Region were subjected to assault by unknown individuals while performing their official duties.
On January 4, during a routine raid in the "Samarkand" mahalla of the Yangiyul district, four unidentified men in a "Jiguli" car blocked the path of the head of the district Department of Ecology, A.N., and the chief specialist, A.J., obstructing their activities.
At the moment when the employees of the ecology department presented their service certificates to verify documents, the offenders attacked the inspectors and inflicted various moderate injuries.
The inspectors were provided emergency medical care at the Yangiyul District Central Hospital. Their condition is currently assessed as moderate.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Yangiyul district is investigating the case.
