During the raid conducted on the territory of the Karaulbazar district, 4 residents of the Jandar district were detained, who illegally caught 20 individuals of the Turkestan barbel listed in the Red Book and 25 carp with the help of electric fishing rods.
As a result, nature suffered damage in the amount of 1 billion 603 million 125 thousand sums.
For reference: the damage for each individual of the Red Book Turkestan Barbel is estimated at 26 million 250 thousand sums, which totaled 525 million sums. In turn, the damage for each carp amounted to 375 thousand sums, which in total gives 9 million 375 thousand sums. Due to the fact that illegal fishing was carried out using a prohibited means—electric fishing rods, the damage increased threefold.
The documents collected in the case were transferred to the prosecutor's office for a legal assessment of the situation and appropriate measures.
