Fauna of the Surkhan Nature Reserve

A group of wild boars, a Turkestan fox, and an urial in the frame of a camera trap of the "Surkhan" State Reserve under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.
For information: The Surkhan State Reserve was established in 1986 in the Sherabad district of the Surkhandarya region. The territory is home to 194 species of animals, 25 of which are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.
The fauna of the reserve is very diverse. It is home to a wolf, a fox, a European badger, a Lynx, an African wildcat, a wild boar, a Markhor, an urial and other species of animals. Also, such bird species as the Cinereous vulture, golden eagle, Eastern imperial eagle, black kite, Accipitrinae, See-see partridge, Alectoris, Ring-necked Pheasant, Streptopelia, white-winged woodpecker, and many others live in the expanses of the reserve.
