It is worth noting that the Tashkent Zoo has become home to many species of animals for a century, as well as an important part of the cultural and educational life of the city. Today, its area in Tashkent is 21.5 hectares and has 336 species and over 8,000 animals. 11 exhibition departments, "Tamed animals", "Aquarium", "Terrarium", "Primates", "Parrots", "Birds", "Predatory", "Waterfowl", "Ungulates", "Insectarium", "Small mammals" are open to the public on the territory. There are comfortable enclosures for animals, including large winter rooms with warm floors.
