During the event, it was established that illegal extraction of sand and gravel mixtures is carried out with the help of special equipment in the protected area of the Chirchik River flowing through the territory of the Kuyichirchik district.
It should be noted that since May 1, 2024, an indefinite moratorium has been imposed on the extraction of non-metallic materials in the beds of the Chirchik, Sanzar, Zarafshan, Naryn, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and Syrdarya rivers.

The documents on the case have been sent to the Environmental Prosecutor's Office of the Tashkent region for a legal assessment of the situation and appropriate measures.
