Employees of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change and the Customs Committee revealed a violation of the law at the "Gishtkuprik" border post on the Uzbek-Kazakh border.
During the inspection at the customs post, M.N., a resident of the Andijan region, was detained, transporting 22 pheasants of 4 species and 5 Indian white peacocks from the Chechen Republic. During the investigation, it became known that there were no relevant documents for the import of animals. Also, the veterinarian's conclusion incorrectly indicates the name and number of individuals.
The birds were transferred to the Tashkent Zoo until the situation was clarified.
