Projects and activities implemented within the framework of cooperation were also discussed in detail. At the same time, the guests visited the "Aral Dream" exhibition and visited the joint laboratory for the research, development, and demonstration of green technologies in the Aral Sea region.
As a result of the meeting, the planned tasks, new projects, and directions for further strengthening cooperation were identified. This will certainly serve to further develop relations between the parties and achieve important strategic goals.
For information: currently, in the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region, within the framework of joint projects with the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, pilot works with 23 species of non-traditional salt-resistant halophytic plants have been carried out on a total area of 3.7 hectares of the experimental sites of Samanbai and Muinak, as well as a drip irrigation system and a small weather station have been established. In addition, a joint laboratory for research, development, and demonstration of green technologies was established in the Aral Sea region, laboratory equipment worth 1 million yuan (127,000 US dollars) was supplied from China and a specialized laboratory was launched. Also, in order to study the cultivation of the medicinal plant "Cistanche" in Karakalpakstan, together with Chinese scientists, an experimental planting of plant seeds was carried out at the Muynak experimental site.
