Day of the Uzbek Language Holiday

On October 21, 1989, the law “On the State Language” was adopted, establishing the legal foundations of the state language, in accordance with which the Uzbek language was given the status of the state language. Our native language, one of the sacred values of our people, has received its legal status and protection.
Also on April 10, 2020, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On the Establishment of the Day of the Uzbek Language Holiday”. According to the law, October 21 is the Day of the Uzbek language.
The President signed a Decree "On measures to radically increase the role and authority of the Uzbek language as the state language”, and declared October 21 a Holiday of the Uzbek language.
