During the raid, facts of illegal extraction of natural sand in the bed of the "Kashkadarya" River, flowing through the territory of the "Sarbozor" mahalla of the Kamashin district of the Kashkadarya region were established.
It was established that in the first case, 1743.7 cubic meters of natural sand were illegally extracted, which caused damage to nature in the amount of 2 billion 615 million 550 thousand sums. In the second incident, 2,465 cubic meters of sand were dug up, resulting in damage amounting to 3 billion 697 million 500 thousand sums.
The documents collected from the two incidents were sent to the regional prosecutor's office to identify the perpetrators, give a legal assessment of the situation, and take appropriate measures.
For information: since May 1, 2024, an indefinite moratorium has been imposed on the extraction of non-metallic materials in the beds of the Chirchik, Sanzar, Zarafshan, Naryn, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and Syrdarya rivers. During this period, the amounts of recovery of damage caused to nature as a result of illegal extraction of sand and gravel are applied with a tenfold increase.
