Currently, “Daraxtga Nafas Bering”campaign ("Give a tree a breath"), initiated by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, is being held throughout the republic. During the campaign, trees are cleared of asphalt and concrete. Various advertising banners, lanterns, and other harmful objects are also removed from the trees.
In particular, in the Samarkand region, more than 100 trees have been cleared of concrete and asphalt pavement, and various advertising banners and electric lighting have been removed from 114 trees. In the Andijan region, 132 trees have been cleared of concrete, and 85 trees have been freed from various banners and lanterns. The campaign continues in other regions.
In addition, in cases of damage to trees, the perpetrators are liable under the relevant articles of the Administrative Code.
This promotion is held every year. This is aimed at ensuring the viability of the trees and preventing their damage.
