Illegal fishing: damage to nature in the amount of more than 60 million sums

Inspectors of the Bayaut district department and the Shirinsky city office of the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Syrdarya region, together with employees of the regional prosecutor's office, conducted another raid event.
During the raid in the Bayautsky district, on the territory of the Southern Mirzachul Canal flowing through the site of the Navbakhorsky WCAs (Water Consumers Association), citizens S.A. and B.D. were detained for illegal fishing using a prohibited fishing device—an electric fishing rod.
It was established that the offenders caught 53 fish of 5 species, including 17 carp, 30 crucians, 4 asps, 1 cupid, and 1 snakehead. As a result of illegal fishing, the animal world suffered damage in the amount of 60 million 520 thousand sums.
The collected documents on this fact have been sent to the regional prosecutor's office for appropriate measures.
