The news spread on social networks that 10,000 plastic ducks were going to be released in the "New Uzbekistan" Park.

The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change strongly condemns such behavior and informs that such cases entail liability under the law.

According to this fact, the Ministry's specialists who went to the scene conducted explanatory work with officials. A strict warning has been issued that such actions are a gross violation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Nature Protection" and "On Waste" and entail liability.

The Ministry urges the management of parks and recreation areas not to carry out actions that harm the environment. He also encourages bloggers and social media activists to promote ideas aimed at preserving nature and create social videos in this direction. The Ministry is ready to assist in this matter.

Article 62 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan states (https://lex.uz/docs/6445147): "Citizens are obliged to take care of the natural environment".

Remind you! Damage to the environment entails liability under articles 91, notes 1, 95, and 161 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Plastic products do not decompose for a long time and cause great harm to nature as waste. Therefore, we urge you to protect nature and keep the environment clean for yourself and our children!
