On February 14, 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a dialogue with Uzbek youth, addressing measures to enhance youth engagement and expand opportunities for professional growth. The discussion emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence technologies in identifying young people's interests early, unlocking their potential, and involving them in socially significant projects.
Today, February 18, the new season of “Technovation Girls Uzbekistan”, a major STEM program for girls, was officially launched. The initiative is organized by Tech4Impact in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Center for the Development of Digital Education, and Yandex Uzbekistan. The event gathered around 1,500 participants, while young people from Tashkent, Andijan, Namangan, Nukus, Urgench, and Fergana regions joined online.
Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov attended the event and delivered a speech, noting the high potential of Uzbek girls in technology and innovation. He expressed hope that Uzbek teams would advance to the international finals and represent the country at the final event in California.
"This competition is a significant initiative. Last week, our President held an open dialogue with young people, outlining key priorities for youth development. Uzbekistan is actively supporting women-led startups, and I believe this year's competition will serve as an important platform for further supporting projects and entrepreneurial initiatives led by Uzbek girls. If we continue to improve, even more teams from Uzbekistan will qualify for the final stage. Uzbek girls are just as capable as their peers worldwide. When we attend international events, we see that our girls demonstrate exceptional creativity, and this earns admiration from other countries. Set ambitious goals and strive to achieve them", the minister stated.
