Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Sign Memorandum on Strengthening IT Cooperation

Key points of the negotiations included joint initiatives for developing digital infrastructure, particularly in telecommunications and data exchange centers. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing IT personnel training programs and promoting the development of skilled specialists in the sector.
The dialogue also covered opportunities to promote Uzbekistan’s IT potential on the global stage, expand IT outsourcing services, and encourage Arab companies to establish regional offices in Uzbekistan. The creation of favorable conditions for developing a startup ecosystem and the adoption of Saudi Arabia’s successful digital transformation practices were also highlighted.
An agreement was reached to cooperate on generating new employment opportunities in the IT sector and increasing capacity in the digital outsourcing industry.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ ministries. This significant agreement is expected to take bilateral relations in the IT sector to new heights.
