Uzbekistan participates in the “Global Internet Governance Forum” in Saudi Arabia

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov participates in the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Saudi Arabia.
As part of the event, Minister Shermatov delivered a speech during the plenary session entitled “From Summit of the Future to WSIS+20” and participated in various panel discussions and other engagements.
Background: The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a United Nations-initiated platform established in 2006 to address global Internet governance issues. It serves as an open forum for dialogue between Internet users, governments, the private sector, civil society and academia.
Key topics at the Forum included strengthening international cooperation among governments, mitigating emerging risks, and addressing challenges that impede global development.
Discussions also included an exchange of views with policymakers, researchers and experts from around the world on how technology and innovation have significantly changed modern lifestyles, recognizing that these changes are expected to accelerate in the coming years.
