The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sh. Shermatov, held a meeting with the President of the South Korean Inha University, Myeong Woo Cho, and the President of Inha University Hospital, Professor Lee Tak. The main goal of the meeting was to further development and expand the activities of Inha University in Tashkent.
For the past ten years, Inha University has been working in collaboration with the Inha University in Tashkent to train leading specialists in the fields of information technology and business logistics. During the meeting, discussions were held on signing agreements for the upcoming years, expanding Inha University's activities in Tashkent, and opening new educational programs to prepare IT specialists to transform our country into an "IT HUB."
Attention was given to the development of new courses and educational programs in collaboration with Inha University in Tashkent, expanding favorable conditions for continuing relationships between universities. Discussions also focused on enhancing the quality of technologies, scientific research, and IT education within the framework of bilateral cooperation. A memorandum on further developing Inha University's activities in Tashkent over the next 5 years was also signed.
Additionally, during the meeting discussions included the opening of an "Patient Medical Referral Office" at Inha University in Tashkent in collaboration with Inha University Hospital. This office aims to improve medical services in the country following by opening a diagnostic center and advancing IT in medicine.
After the event, Minister Sherzod Shermatov participated in the ceremony celebrating the 70th anniversary of Inha University, held at the Junseok Library. He was awarded woth Honorary Doctorate Degree for his contributions to improving the quality of IT education and successful cooperation in the field of education.
