ADDRESS TO THE RESIDENTS BY O.X. AKBAROV, HEAD OF THE ANDIJAN DISTRICT DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

Dear residents of our district!

The District Department of Internal Affairs continues to carry out systematic measures aimed at ensuring your peaceful and safe life, strengthening public security, and maintaining law and order.

During the first seven months of 2026, measures aimed at preventing and combating crime have produced positive results.

According to the results of the first seven months of this year, 271 crimes were recorded in the district. This represents a decrease of 66 crimes, or 19.6%, compared to the same period last year (337 crimes).

A breakdown of the 271 recorded crimes shows:

– 122 (45.0%) — crimes identified through the initiative of our officers;

– 106 (39.1%) — preventable crimes, meaning crimes that could have been prevented through proper preventive measures;

– 43 (15.9%) — cybercrimes committed in the field of information technology.

Although the number of crimes committed in the field of information technology is relatively low, each of us must remain constantly vigilant and cautious when using the internet and when protecting confidential information and bank card codes.
