✅ Certain so-called “entrepreneurs,” with the aim of deceiving consumers and making quick profits, manufacture products by exploiting the names of well-known companies, or offer such goods for sale under the guise of discounts, promotions, and other schemes.
✅ Consumers, believing they are purchasing familiar “branded products” at “lower” prices, are pleased with their purchase, while in reality they do not even realize they have been misled by so-called “brand thieves.”
✅ The justice authorities have recently prevented a similar case involving the well-known Tommy Hilfiger brand.
✅ Specifically, the Ministry considered a complaint submitted by Tommy Hilfiger Licensing B.V. (Netherlands) regarding violations of its rights to the Tommy Hilfiger trademark by LLC “P.B.”.
✅ Following the inspection, it was established that LLC “P.B.” had been offering counterfeit knitwear products for sale, produced using signs resembling the Tommy Hilfiger trademark.
✅ In response, the Ministry applied relevant legal measures against LLC “P.B.” and required the company to remove the Tommy Hilfiger marks from the counterfeit clothing, or, if removal was not possible, to ensure the destruction of the goods.
⚠️ Dear entrepreneurs! We strongly encourage you to register your own brand. If you encounter any cases of unlawful use of your brand, please report them via the Ministry of Justice hotline “1008” or by email at info@adliya.uz
