Next Stage of Uzbekistan–Korea Cooperation in Intellectual Property Launched

Today, October 5, the Ministry of Justice hosted the opening meeting of the second research and advisory mission under the project “Improving the Public Administration System in the Field of Intellectual Property in Uzbekistan.” The mission will take place in Tashkent from October 5 to 9.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzraf Ikramov, heads and responsible staff of the relevant structural units of the Ministry of Justice, as well as representatives and experts of the Korea Institute of Intellectual Property (KIPI).
The parties discussed the activities planned for the next stage of the project, the overall implementation schedule, the allocation of tasks and responsibilities, as well as the preparation of the necessary data and materials.
The main objective of the mission is to develop and agree on practical plans for digitizing intellectual property-related documents, cleaning and migrating existing data, and further improving the “IP Adliya” information system.
On the first day, the participants also discussed the digitization of archival documents related to intellectual property objects, their storage and processing conditions, the comparison of data across different information systems, the identification of existing errors, as well as data cleaning and migration.
During the mission, the parties will discuss in detail standards and workflows for document digitization, criteria for improving data quality, mechanisms for migrating data to the “IP Adliya” system, and further practical measures in these areas.
This cooperation will contribute to improving the efficiency of public administration in the field of intellectual property, enhancing the quality of digital services, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data.
