Meeting Held with a World Bank Representative

As part of the events of the International Association of Insolvency Regulators (IAIR), First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Istamov met with U. Paterson, an insolvency expert at the World Bank.
The meeting focused on the financial rehabilitation of enterprises facing financial difficulties, as well as improving out-of-court and court-supervised rehabilitation mechanisms.
In particular, the participants exchanged views on improving approaches to assessing credit risks and provisioning requirements for enterprises undergoing rehabilitation, as well as introducing more balanced prudential mechanisms based on international best practices.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue expert cooperation with the World Bank on reforms in the insolvency sector and draft regulatory legal acts.
