A delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan is participating in the International Association of Insolvency Regulators (IAIR) Conference and General Meeting being held in Canada.

🤝 On the sidelines of the event, M. Istamov, First Deputy Minister of Justice, met with K. Leong, Official Receiver and Official Assignee of Singapore’s Insolvency and Public Trustee’s Office (IPTO).

📌 The meeting focused on studying Singapore’s experience in further improving legislation in the field of insolvency, introducing advanced practices into the national system, developing the institution of insolvency practitioners, and enhancing the professional capacity of specialists.

🎓 The parties also discussed prospects for organizing study visits to Singapore for representatives of the Agency for Insolvency Affairs and insolvency practitioners, facilitating the exchange of experience, holding expert consultations, and implementing joint training programmes.

✅ Following the meeting, the parties agreed to explore the establishment of direct institutional cooperation between the Agency for Insolvency Affairs and IPTO, the signing of a memorandum of understanding, the exchange of experience, and the organization of joint training programmes.
