Issues related to the establishment of the Tashkent International Commercial Court discussed

Today, September 4, Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov met with Suma Chakrabarti, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Economic Development, Effective Governance and International Cooperation.
The meeting discussed issues related to the establishment of the Tashkent International Commercial Court within the framework of implementing the Constitutional Law “On the Tashkent International Financial Centre”.
Particular attention was also paid to developing mediation, international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Uzbekistan, expanding cooperation with foreign experts, and training qualified specialists in English law.
It was noted that the mediation institution is also developing rapidly. The number of mediation agreements increased fourfold, reaching 18,411 in the first half of 2026. In court proceedings, 2,897 mediation agreements were concluded. These figures demonstrate the growing trust in and demand for this institution in the country.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation on developing modern legal infrastructure within the framework of the Tashkent International Financial Centre.
