At the session, among other matters, a draft law developed by the Ministry of Justice — “On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘On Licensing, Permitting and Notification Procedures’ aimed at aligning export procedures with the rules of the World Trade Organization” — was considered in the first reading.
✅ This draft law proposes amendments to the aforementioned law предусматривающие the abolition of the procedure for issuing permits for the export of goods and products carried out on the basis of decisions of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
✅ The draft also provides for the removal of export-related restrictions from the list of fines applied to legal entities for violations in the field of licensing and permitting.
✅ It should be noted that the proposed norms are intended to expand exports, eliminate existing export restrictions, create a competitive and open market environment, and harmonize national legislation with WTO rules.
✅ During the lively session, the draft law was adopted by deputies in the second reading.
