Deputy Minister of Justice M. Ikramov held a meeting with a delegation led by Sh. Hülshörster, Director of the International Legal Cooperation Fund (IRZ) under the German Federal Ministry of Justice.
During the meeting, issues related to further developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the fields of justice and law were discussed.
As noted, extensive reforms are being carried out in our country in the areas of legislative drafting, digitalization of public services, increasing the legal literacy of the population, and providing free legal assistance. In particular, these include the development of the Lex.uz platform, the implementation of the AI-based LexAI system, and initiatives aimed at simplifying public services.
In addition, the parties discussed projects being implemented in cooperation with IRZ, including efforts to systematize legislation and reduce excessive bureaucratic obstacles within the framework of the European Union’s TWINNING grant project.
At the end of the meeting, prospects for future cooperation were outlined, including the exchange of experience in the field of justice and law, the introduction of best practices in the development of normative legal acts, and further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
