The “NO-SHPA” Trademark Has Been Granted Legal Protection

The Ministry has reviewed an appeal submitted with regard to the protection of the “NO-SHPA” trademark, which belongs to the Hungarian company Opella Healthcare Hungary Kft.
In the course of examining the appeal, an inspection was conducted into the activities of D.P. LLC, during which it was established that pharmaceutical products bearing the designation “DRO-SHPA”, including graphic elements, had been manufactured. This designation is confusingly similar to the “NO-SHPA” trademark.
As a result of the identified violation of legislation, an administrative fine in the amount of 200 times the base calculation amount, equivalent to 82.4 million Uzbek soums, was imposed on the offending legal entity.
