Payments for Real Estate and Motor Vehicle Transactions to Be Conducted in Cashless Form

A meeting was held at the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss the introduction of cashless payments when notarizing contracts for the sale and purchase of real estate and motor vehicles.
This procedure will come into effect on April 1, 2026, in accordance with DP–246 dated December 10, 2025.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank N. Saidullayev, Deputy Minister of Justice M. Ikramov, Chairman of the Notarial Chamber D. Ashurov, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Central Bank, commercial banks, and practicing notaries.
The following issues were discussed during the meeting:
▪️ providing fast and high-quality services to the public and business entities;
▪️ ensuring uninterrupted operations of notarial offices and banks;
▪️ organizing payments in a simple, clear, and secure manner;
▪️ integrating electronic information systems.
These measures will contribute to:
▪️ increasing the reliability of payments;
▪️ preventing fraudulent activities;
▪️ ensuring transparency of financial transactions;
▪️ reducing the shadow economy.
