Ministry of Ecology, environmental protection and climate change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Information was provided at the meeting on the reforms being implemented in the field of waste management in Uzbekistan, areas for investment, and preferences provided to investors. 

The general director of the Chinese company, Sheng Chen, spoke about the long-term plans to be implemented in Uzbekistan. Interest was also expressed in the activities of wastewater treatment plants and landfills intended for waste transportation.

In addition, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the Situation Center under the Ministry of Ecology, the Republican Center for the Organization of Sanitary Cleaning, and the Waste Management Directorate.

At the end of the visit, a presentation was held of companies within the "Chengdu Environment Investment Group" – "Chengdu Xingrong Renewable Energy Co., Ltd." and "Chengdu Shiny Technology Co., Ltd.", with whom a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in the field of development and implementation of projects for the production of energy from waste in Uzbekistan.
