Youth Affairs Agency Sets Forth Achievements and Upcoming Initiatives Under the "Year of Supporting Youth and Business"
I. Youth Balance and Individual Support
📌 8.3 million young people were included in the Youth Balance, categorizing them as:
- "Red" (requiring special attention) – 123,281 (1.5%).
- "Yellow" (at risk in employment/education) – 3,097,787 (37.5%).
- "Green" (active and self-sufficient youth) – 5,152,237 (62.5%).
📌 4 million youth were assigned 18,105 mentors from government agencies, ensuring monthly one-on-one mentorship.
📌 179,813 problems were identified, and 22,109 (12%) have already been resolved.
II. Expansion of Social Support
📌 30 types of support are now available through the Youth Book.
📌 Application processing time reduced from 30 to 5 days.
📌 8,563 young people received 34.1 billion UZS in economic aid, including:
- 1,300 students received 1.3 billion UZS for tuition fees.
- 992 unemployed youth received 4.9 billion UZS in job tools.
- 3,505 students had 17.5 billion UZS in tuition fees covered.
- 460 youth received 1.2 billion UZS for entrepreneurship.
III. Employment and Entrepreneurship
📌 814,000 youth will be employed in 2024:
- 200,000 will receive 4 trillion UZS in preferential loans.
- 497,000 will be trained for self-employment.
📌 155,000 youth will receive 60,500 hectares of farmland.
IV. Language & IT Training
📌 3.5 billion UZS allocated for 1,500 students to learn foreign languages and IT skills.
📌 1.13 million youth are learning 22 foreign languages online.
V. Expanding the Five Initiatives Olympiad
📌 4.6 million youth registered for competitions.
VI. Promotion of Reading & Intellectual Development
📌 184,000 books on historical scholars printed.
📌 500,000 books on patriotism to be distributed.
📌 Uzbekistan ranks 1st in Central Asia for Wikipedia articles (300,000+ articles).
