The "Shingit" Award was established in 1999 to honor outstanding individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions in the fields of science, literature, art, and technology. Its main objective is to support scientific and cultural development, enhance intellectual potential, and contribute to the progress of human thought.
The award is presented annually at an official ceremony. Winners receive $13,500, an honorary diploma, and a medal. Applications are accepted until March 31, shortlisted candidates are announced on July 15, winners are determined on October 31, and the award ceremony takes place on December 31.

Islamic Studies – research on Islamic teachings and principles of tolerance.
Literature and Arts – novels, poetry, essays, history, philosophy, law, theater.
Science and Technology – industry, pharmaceuticals, medicine, agriculture.
